Winklevoss twins end appeal of Facebook settlement

One of the most prominent litigation of the decade may be finally coming to an end. Twins Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss have decided not to appeal to the Supreme Court a ruling upholding their $65 million settlement with Facebook Inc and its founder Mark Zuckerberg.

The agreement reached in 2008 was intended to end the dispute over whether Zuckerberg stole the idea for Facebook from the Winklevosses while they were all at Harvard University. They had agreed to a combination of stocks and cash worth about $60 million and then backed out.

It's all very well portrayed in the film Social Network.

Facebook is estimated to be worth about $70 billion today.
